Paolo Manzone Barbaresco San Giuliano 2021
This wine was born from the idea of an importer friend of ours to give a special touch to the Nebbiolo grape. It was born in a small farm located in Neive on the bricco called San Giuliano, a name that is later given on the label. Paolo follows all the processes of wine production, i.e. from the harvesting of the grapes, checking that the vinification is slow and careful, to the ageing process. This takes place in a 1500 litre oval Slavonian oak barrel for two years. This passage gives the wine a strong and unique character that distinguishes this ancient MGA, making it powerful but preserving and developing elegant characteristics like the great Barbarescos of Neive of the past. It reaches the top in two/three years.
