Mauro Veglio Barolo Arborina 2020
Arborina is a small Barolo Geographical Mention located in the Annunziata hamlet in La Morra. It rises from the hamlet of Ciotto towards Cascina Nuova, with southern, south-eastern exposure and a height of 270 metres above sea level. The soil is thin, consisting of Marne di Sant'Agata, formations from the Tortonian period composed of clay mixed with fine sand and limestone. The Barolo produced here is characterised by fruit and freshness, an almost ethereal finesse, extreme elegance and not excessive concentration. All supported by a fine, intense and harmonious bouquet.

Colour

Ruby red with good intensity and slight garnet notes.

Bouquet

Fruity bouquet with excellent intensity and delicate harmony. Notes of small red fruits with predominance of cassis and blackcurrant. Finish with delicate spiciness.

Flavour

Delicate, soft flavour with excellent balance between alcohol and tannin. Good persistence and minerality with an elegant finish. Complex but extremely delicate, it shows all its belonging to the La Morra territory with its freshness and elegance.

Pairing

Ideal with meat-based first courses and mature cheeses.

Ageing Subsequently, around December, the wine is put into small oak barrels, 30% new and 70% second and third passage, where it remains to mature for a total of 24 months. After being decanted into stainless steel, the wine can be bottled without filtering or clarification.
