Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is the "king" of Abruzzo's varieties. Emidio Pepe describes it as the wine of the future for its immediate beauty and its ageing potential.

Deep ruby red.

Hints of ripe red fruit, completed by hints of humus, sandalwood and cut grass.

Flavour

Robust, dry, intense and with a good tannic texture, powerful in the opening with a very long finish.
