Donnafugata Dolce & Gabbana Tancredi 2020
Remember the Tancredi played by Alain Delon in the famous film that Visconti adapted from 'The Leopard' by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa? This wine wants to represent its elegance and 'revolutionary' ambition. In 2015, the label features a new illustration by artist Stefano Vitale, who dedicated the work to Giacomo Rallo, visionary captain of Donnafugata. The Contessa winery is always there, in the clouds as if it were a mirage: a magical place where Giacomo began the Donnafugata adventure together with his wife Gabriella, and where some of the vineyards that contribute to the Tancredi blend are located. Places where the memory of the man and his dreams come true remains indelible.

Colour

Intense ruby red.

Bouquet

Tancredi combines ripe red fruit (currant and plum) and balsamic notes (eucalyptus) with delicate hints of cocoa and sweet tobacco.

Flavour

On the palate it has an excellent structure with important and perfectly integrated tannins; fresh drink with a very long retro-olfactory persistence.

Pairing

Steak, signature burgers and game; also excellent on beef fillet with mushrooms. It can be uncorked at the moment if served in large goblets with a wide mouth and good height.
