Fontanafredda is located in Serralunga d'Alba (Piedmont), in the Langhe area, in the heart of Barolo wine production.
Fontanafredda, like all good things, is the result of a love story between the first King of Italy, Vittorio Emanuele II, and Rosa Vercellana.
It has been the scene of many firsts: they were the first to take Barolo overseas, and they were the first to produce the first Metodo Classico, which would be the forerunner of Alta Langa, in 1959.
The cellar's founding principle is the concept of community.
Since 2018, Fontanafredda has been cultivating 120 hectars of certified biological land that surrounds the first Villaggio Narrante, which still houses 12 families of workers.
Fontanafredda is also hospitality, with a 4 star village which welcomes guests from all over the world.
