It is cultivated above all in France. Outside this, it is cultivated in Spain, where it is called Garnacha Tintorera, but also in Portugal, Corsica, ex Yugoslavia, Israel and North Africa. The vine is also present in Tuscany and Sardinia. |

The wine that comes from the alicante vine is ruby red with purple reflections. On the palate it is dry, ruby red with purple, vinous, fragrant, round, body-shaped reflections. |
