A native variety, closely linked to its terroir and local traditions, almost unknown in other Mediterranean regions. Resistant to the Bora wind and drought, it gives life to a fine and elegant wine, moderately alcoholic.

Intense notes of dried yellow flowers, peach jam, candied apricot, ginger and white pepper accompany hints of caramelised dried fruit, cloves and honey.

Fresh and vibrant on the palate, with the right degree of softness and a slight astringency sensation that gives three-dimensionality to the sip. Mineral and fruity in the finish. Persistent and consistent.

The winery dates back to my grandparents' time when, in addition to wine and vegetables, cows and other animals were reared.
Since 1987 we have decided to devote ourselves entirely to wine growing. The Skerk winery is located on the Karst plateau halfway between Trieste and Monfalcone, about 3km from the sea. It is a hilly area, in some respects arid and difficult, where every vine grown has been taken from the lap of a strong, but at the same time welcoming and generous nature with a mild and temperate climate. It is in this reality that the company is developing, which with hard work and many sacrifices is dedicated to the cultivation of high-density vines, focusing on the quality of the grapes and taking care of the ageing of the wine, in the best vintages, in oak barrels. 阅读更多

酿酒工艺 Destemming, spontaneous fermentation and maceration for about 15 days in wooden vats, with submersion of the cap up to 5 times a day. No clarification or filtration. Slight addition of sulphur dioxide.
