Chateau de la Gravelle
Our passion for Muscadet dates back to the 15th century. Since the generations succeed one another but do not resemble each other.
Bernard Chéreau, son of a winegrower in Monnières, decided to cultivate his own vineyard. In contrast to an era dominated by bulk distribution in large quantities, his efforts demonstrate that high quality production is appreciated by a targeted and exclusive clientele among restaurateurs, wine merchants and individuals. This success enabled him to acquire the Château du Coing in 1973.
Today, it is his daughter, Véronique Günther-Chéreau, passionate about authenticity, who makes this estate an emblematic property for all lovers of this wine: Muscadet with local flavours. Since 2010, Véronique's daughter, Aurore, a graduate of oenology, has joined us in this adventure.
