Piaggia Poggio de' Colli 2014
Using older clones of French origin in the company, after years of careful vinification and targeted tastings, we started production of a pure Cabernet Franc: Poggio de 'Colli. This vine has found an ideal habitat on our lands in order to express wines of great elegance, finesse and complexity.
Hence the desire to combine the French tradition with the heart and soul of Tuscany. A wine "outside the box" capable of being absolutely unique and unrepeatable.

Colour

Deep, intense ruby red with purplish highlights.

Bouquet

Aromas of raspberries, brambles, eastern spices, coffee and liquorice.

Flavour

Elegant on the palate with soft, silky tannins: the finish is pleasantly supple and clean.

Ageing The wine is drawn off the lees and then immediately transferred to French oak barriques, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation. During maturation it is periodically racked to make it clearer and prepare it for bottling, which is done without any kind of filtration or clarification process so as to keep all ts organolectic properties intact. At least 6 months in bottle.
