From this winery
  • Start up year: 2006
  • Oenologist: Filippo Bezzi, Fabrizio Balzi
The first vintage of Santa Cristina was produced in 1946, becoming in time a point of reference for connoisseurs, and not only that, thanks to an unwavering commitment to quality. Just like a good story, Santa Cristina never gets old.

The care and attention always given to the vineyards and in the cellar have been the stimulus for constant innovation and to deal with native and international varietals, giving rise to a family of different products but distinguished by the same style, the result of an unbreakable bond between the vineyard, terroir, and human labor.

The products of the family Santa Cristina were born from this simple philosophy, thanks to an ongoing dialogue with the earth. Since 1946 continues this dedication, to keep still pristine quality of Santa Cristina.

Wine making Upon arrival at the winery, the harvested grapes underwent differentiated vinification processes: part underwent a 7-8 day maceration, with maximum temperatures of 25 °C, in order to enhance the extraction of soft tannins and the preservation of the grapes' fruity aromas. The other part, the most consistent, underwent a longer maceration of 10 2 days with temperatures of 30 °C and soft soaking to increase the intensity of flavour.
