The black grape of the Merlot cultivar arrived in Friuli in 1880 from the French region of Bordeaux. In less than a century and a half, it has become the most widely cultivated grape variety in the region after Pinot Grigio. It is gentle on the nose, soft on the palate, and never strong. It is a grape variety that adapts easily to the variability of climatic conditions that cannot influence its good character too much. For the Friulian consumer, it is the red wine of sharing: the meeting of friends, the aperitif, the wine of easy pairing at the table. |

Destemming of the grapes followed by a complete maceration with pumping over and punching down for a period that varies between 10 and 12 days. The racking occurs right after the end of the alcoholic fermentation. |
| 陳年 |
Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation are completed in stainless steel vats where the wine matures for at least twelve months. This is followed by bottling and, before marketing, ageing in glass lying in conditioned rooms. |

It pairs well with first courses with important meat sauces, grilled meats, roasts, sausages and cheeses. |
