歷史 Vaccarèse is dark-skinned grape planted in minuscule quantities in France's Rhône Valley. It is one of the 13 red grape varieties permitted in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape blend, although it is rarely used because it is so scarce. Outside of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Vaccarèse can be found in minute quantities and is generally known as Brun Argenté. This translates to "brown silvery", which is most likely a reference to the grape's very dark, brownish skin and silvery leaves.

特色酒 The variety's wines – light-bodied reds – are often compared to Syrah and Cinsaut. They have red-berry flavors similar to Cinsaut, but with a touch more pepper and spice, and a tannin structure similar to Syrah's. Some Vaccarèse is used in Côtes du Rhône rosé wines along with Grenache.
