Native grape variety once cultivated in the centre of town Italy among the hills of the Marche and Abruzzo. It belongs to the family of Trebbiani vines, despite having a lower productivity than the average for this category. It is said that the name "Passerina" comes from the fact that its berries, sweet and were delicious food for the Sparrows. The vine is today cultivated mainly in the Piceno area, in Abruzzo and the province of Frosinone. It is produced both as a still wine and as a sparkling wine. |
