Foucher la Vigne des Sablons Vouvray Blanc 2016
The Vouvray region is part of France’s Loire Valley, situated in the Touraine district east of Tours and in the commune of Vouvray. The area’s vineyards are planted almost exclusively to Chenin Blanc, and the harvest often requires several “walk-throughs” so the grapes can be picked at their ripest. The prototypical Vouvray is semi-sweet without being syrupy or cloying — and that’s why most is made in the demi-sec style, including La Vigne des Sablons’.
