The palate was medium-bodied and lean with firm, but smooth tannins, balanced by some fresh acidity. There were some cedar and coffee characters with smooth, subtle vanilla spice.

Château Tour Saint Bonnet is in the northernmost part of the Médoc, or Bas-Médoc, in the village of Saint Christoly-Médoc, not far from St Estephe. It has been in the ownership of the Lafon family since 1903.
