When we talk about Château Simard, we can not remain without mentioning Château Haut-Simard, also selected by Bernard Burtschy. They have the same origin and a bound destiny. Initially, there was a large estate owned by the Count of Simard. In 1870, a voice from the railroad broke the vineyard in two, giving life to the Castles Simard and Haut Simard.
Later, in 1954, Claude Mazière became the owner of both estates, but has since resold Simard to his nephew, Alain Vauthier, of the famous Ausone Castle.
