Caccia al Piano Levia Gravia Bolgheri Superiore 2014
The excellence of the cru is expressed in all its forms: on the nose it is elegantly distinguished by intense but not excessive red fruit, accompanied by balsamic notes. Deep ruby red with garnet reflections, it is rich in the mouth, with silky and elegant tannins and a pleasant acidity. Overall it has good aromatic and sapidity.

Pairing

Ideal with meat such as stews, roasts, braised red meats and game based preparations; but also with aged cheeses, marbled and with meat or cheese stuffed pasta.

Vinification Levia Gravia 2013 is a particular wine: the grapes that compose it come exclusively from the vineyards of the San Biagio hill, located at about 210 m. of altitude, and overlooking the sea. The grapes were hand-picked and carefully selected. After maceration / fermentation in stainless steel for about 9/12 days, racking takes place. The winemaker proceeds to create the assembly, determining the expressions and the taste of the two varieties used.
Ageing Subsequently the wine is transferred to French oak barrels where it will begin its long maturation.
