Description

Cascina Fontana Langhe Nebbiolo is a special and unique wine. Nebbiolo, of course, is the great grape of Piedmont and the source of our finest wines, such as Barolo and Barbaresco. Our Langhe Nebbiolo is produced from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the historic Castello vineyard, the Lirano vineyard, and the Mombello vineyards, blended with a smaller proportion of Nebbiolo grapes from the cru vineyard Il Pozzo in Castiglione Falletto.

L'exploitation agricole Cascina Fontana est située au cœur de la région du Barolo, à Perno, un petit hameau de la commune de Monforte d'Alba, à environ 15 kilomètres de la ville d'Alba. La famille Fontana s'enorgueillit d'une tradition de culture de la vigne et de production de vin qui s'étend sur six générations. Aujourd'hui, Mario Fontana, avec l'aide d'une équipe interne, perpétue cette tradition en supervisant l'ensemble du cycle de production, de la vigne à la production de vin, et en apportant un soin méticuleux au travail en cave. Mario et Luisa Fontana possèdent 5 hectares de vignobles, consacrés à la culture des cépages classiques des Langhe : nebbiolo, dolcetto et barbera. Les vignobles sont situés dans certaines des meilleures zones de production des communes de Castiglione Falletto (vignoble Valletti/cru Mariondino, vignoble Villero/cru Villero et vignoble del Pozzo), La Morra (vignoble Gallinotto/cru Giachini) et Sinio (vignoble del Castello). Histoire Our wines are not filtered and are made without the use of any additional chemicals. They are literally the fruit of responsible and meticulous care in the vineyard as well as the most careful vinification that fully respects our traditions. There may be some sediment in the bottle, a process of natural evolution, but this in no ways alters the quality of the wine. We see it as a mark of its natural goodness.
