Description

Still white wine from Friuli-Venezia Giulia, 12.5% ABV, produced by Le Vigne di Zamo. 100% Pinot Grigio, 2024 vintage. A Pinot Grigio that expresses the soul of Friuli, with its elegance and minerality. The grapes are harvested at the peak of ripeness and destemmed upon delivery to the cellar. Fifty percent of the grapes undergo cold maceration and then ferment at a controlled temperature in stainless steel. The other 50% undergoes red maceration for four days, then, once pressed, completes fermentation in 5hl oak barrels. During the entire aging period, the two lots of wine remain separate. The only operations performed are monitoring the malolactic fermentation of the wine in wood and weekly batonnage on both. After approximately six months, the blending and final bottling take place. A wine that promises pleasant sensations.

Le Vigne di Zamò is located in Manzano, in the town of Rosazzo, in the province of Udine, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a land of borders and European invasions that have led to a mixture of vineyards and varieties.

The company is fortunate to draw from three different terroirs that give the wines different and unique characters and personalities. The Zamò family has been cultivating the land for centuries: first the grandfather, then the father and finally the sons, all united under the same goal: cultivating the land and making wine as a sign of civilisation and respect for their origins and traditions,

In addition to great white wines, including Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the company focuses on red wines to maintain the indigenous grape varieties and to pursue new projects and innovations. For years, the Zamò family has been conducting cultivation with sustainability-conscious methods, and in 2021 they obtained the first Certified Organic grape harvest.
