Description
Still red from the prestigious Barbaresco DOCG, 14.5% ABV, 100% Nebbiolo. Produced by La Spinetta. 0.75 L bottle, 2020 vintage. A Barbaresco that embodies the passion and dedication of the Rivetti family, with a history that dates back to the early 1960s. The maceration and fermentation process lasts 7-8 days in temperature-controlled rotofermenters. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels. Aged entirely in new, medium-toasted French barriques for 20-22 months. After aging, the wine is transferred to steel tanks for approximately 3 months and then bottled, followed by bottle aging for approximately 12 months. Complex, even explosive, with immediate notes of fruit, sweet spices, licorice, and chocolate. On the palate it is imposing, with hints of oak that progressively release the balsamic aromas, in a framework of rare harmony and balance between the sweetness of the tannins and the austerity of the material.
