The estate, purchased by the Gussalli Beretta family in 2017, has nine hectares of vineyards in a single block, planted with Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Kerner and Pinot Blanc. A fully operational winemaking and ageing cellar and an old farmhouse, originally dedicated to hospitality and currently undergoing renovation, complete the property. Read more

Story | The name Windhund, which in German means greyhound, pays tribute to the engravings of the sixteenth-century artist Albercht Dürer, where the greyhound seems to be a recurring theme. The Dürer path, an ancient passage that connected the Germanic world to the Mediterranean, passes just nearby Steinhaus winery, the very one Dürer himself used during his travels in Italy at the end of the 15th century. |
