Description
Il Lauro comes from a selection of grapes from the historic "Mogliette" vineyard, planted in 1969 on the loamy soil of a windy hillside facing west. The longevity of the vineyard and the particular location allow a late harvest and the achievement of an excellent balance between acidity and sugar content. The historicity of the planting, the management of the vines, the selection of the bunches during the harvest and the maniacal attention paid to all the processing phases allow us to obtain a full-bodied, velvety and decidedly refined wine.

The construction of a modern, organically run winery, completely immersed in the vineyards, was the natural completion of a project aimed at preserving and enhancing the value of the grapes, which can thus be processed just a few minutes after their harvest. Starting from the earth and arriving at the bunch of grapes allows us to produce quality wines with a strong territorial connotation. Grapes, knowledge and passion: this is our way of making wine. Story | The days of the grape harvest have carved indelible memories in our memory, made of that hard work that the farmers carried out with joy. At the end of the day, our grandfather, together with the men and women who had helped him, used to sit at the edge of the vineyard in the shade of a thick laurel hedge to contemplate the sun going down on the horizon and talk about the difficulties and joys of their work. That hedge, perhaps less dense, still surrounds the vineyard and it is in memory of those moments of conviviality that it could emanate that we have decided to dedicate the name of our wine to it. |
