Description
What kind of wine it is
Saemper Brut by Murgo is an organic white sparkling wine made entirely from Nerello Mascalese grapes. Produced using the Traditional Method, it appears in the glass with a bright golden yellow colour, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage. On the palate, it expresses a fresh and savoury character, offering a vibrant sip consistent with the Brut dosage, the result of careful and sustainable viticulture.
Where it comes from
This sparkling wine originates in Sicily, where the use of the Nerello Mascalese grape highlights its strong territorial identity. The bouquet opens with fruity notes of peach and dried apricot, accompanied by delicate hints of flowers and wild herbs. The aromatic evolution is completed by nuances of sweet spices and hints of graphite, which define a clear and elegant olfactory profile.
How it is produced
Production follows the strict steps of the Traditional Method, involving refermentation and ageing in the bottle for 24 months, a crucial period for defining its aromatic complexity. At the table, it pairs perfectly with starters, dishes based on lean fish and cheeses. It is ideal when matched with a mixed fry of squid and prawns served with a mayonnaise sauce, which enhances the freshness and lightness of the dish.
