Description
Planted in 1998 by Jerry Milbrandt, the vineyard stretches along a series of steep cliffs above the Columbia River, in the Ancient Lakes area. This is a cooler site thanks to the river’s influence, with soils composed of fractured basalt, gravel, silt, and caliche deposited during the Ice Age floods. Like all Milbrandt vineyards, Evergreen is farmed using sustainable practices. The site yields fruit with a sublime mineral character and vibrant acidity, a balance highly prized by winemakers.
