Description
What kind of wine it is
The Chardonnay Vigna Hausmannhof from Haderburg is a still organic white wine that expresses the most authentic soul of Alto Adige. In the glass, it displays a straw yellow colour enriched with greenish highlights. On the nose, the Chardonnay reveals a clear profile, characterised by aromas of golden apple and delicate hints of fresh bread crust. The palate reveals a fresh and savoury style, extremely inviting and well-balanced. Subtle notes of liquorice, acacia honey and mugwort emerge on the palate, ensuring a harmonious and persistent tasting experience.
Where it comes from
This wine originates from the Hausmannhof estate in Pochi di Salorno, in Alto Adige. The vines grow on calcareous-clay soils, cultivated with a modified pergola system that encourages optimal grape development. The soil gives the wine's structure a unique precision, faithfully reflecting the characteristics of the territory. Thanks to careful agronomic management and a limited yield, Haderburg obtains grapes of extraordinary definition. This single vineyard offers an authentic and easily recognisable territorial expression.
How it is produced
The harvest, carried out in mid-September, aims to preserve the integrity and aromatic purity of the grapes. Fermentation, which takes place between stainless steel and small barrels, allows the liveliness of the fruit to be combined with a pleasant softness. The wine maintains a dry profile, supported by a vibrant acidity that enhances its drinkability. This balance makes it a perfect aperitif, but its ideal food pairings also include starters, fish dishes and white meats, such as poultry and veal.
History and Curiosities
The Chardonnay Vigna Hausmannhof from Haderburg has represented the excellence of Alto Adige DOC since 1986. This elegant organic still white wine is produced from historic vines grown on the calcareous-clay soils of Pochi di Salorno. The meticulous vinification, which combines the freshness of stainless steel with the roundness of barrique, releases a refined bouquet of golden apple and bread crust. Produced in only 4,143 bottles in the 2024 vintage, it offers a fresh, savoury and perfectly balanced sip, naturally enhancing refined aperitifs and seafood dishes with masterful ease.

In the mid-1970s, we made the daring transformation from being a fruit-growing farm concerned only with the production and sale of grapes and apples to a winery which processes its own grapes. Since that turning point, our enthusiasm for good wines and champagnes has set the tone for the work in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. Read more
