Description
Still organic white Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Riserva DOC, 13% ABV, produced by Fattoria Nanni in the Marche region. 0.75 L bottle, 2023 vintage. A Verdicchio Riserva born in the heart of the Marche region, a wine that expresses the soul of a land and the passion of those who cultivate it. The aroma is intense and complex, with hints of elderflower, almond, and anise, fresh fruit and yellow pulp, and vegetal notes of sage and mint. Straw yellow with green highlights that tend to fade as the years pass since the harvest. The palate is supported by a savory acidity that facilitates sipping and enhances the structure, which gradually thickens and intensifies over the years, much like the aromatics that, over time, layer on notes of candied fruit, lemon peel, saffron, and chamomile.

"Where I come from there is a mountain that protects the valley and the castles around it. It’s nice to have a little peak in the distance, sharply peaked on one side, a crooked turtle dome, and acting as your beacon when you don’t have the sea. It’s called Monte San Vicino and it also looks beautiful over a large vineyard, and guards it, in the Apiro countryside. From this vineyard was born the wine of the young Fattoria Nannì, all painted by Nina, a green balcony to a lighthouse that is shaped like a rock, and that has been telling us since we were little what the weather will be, what colour the sky will be, all that you can see and not see, and which way you will find the moon."
