Description
What kind of wine it is
Corte Giara Pinot Grigio delle Venezie is a still white wine with Denomination of Controlled Origin from Veneto, produced by Allegrini, and vinified in steel. This Pinot Grigio stands out for its dry, vibrant style of medium intensity, supported by a pleasant mineral tension. The bouquet blends delicate notes of pear, green apple and citrus with hints of white flowers and a slight smoky touch. The palate is fresh and balanced, perfect for accompanying seafood dishes, sushi and vegetarian first courses, finishing with a refreshing finale.
Where it comes from
The grapes grow in Veneto, among the eastern hills of Lake Garda, at an altitude of about 250 metres with a south and south-west exposure. The vines sink their roots into moraine soils, rich in stones and well-drained, excellent conditions for optimal water management. This soil composition, combined with the temperature range, ensures a perfect acid balance and preserves the aromatic profile of the grapes. In this area, Pinot Grigio develops a clean and linear character, enriched by elegant herbaceous nuances.
How it is produced
The bunches, trained using the Guyot system, are harvested in the first week of September. In the winery, a gentle pressing of the whole grapes is carried out to extract only the purest must. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature to maintain the aromatic clarity. Afterwards, the wine undergoes a partial malolactic fermentation, also in steel, a key step to harmonise the flavour while preserving the natural freshness. Ageing involves a four-month rest in tanks and a further period in glass to complete its evolution.
