Description

The etymology of the name comes from the Latin "vertere" ("to turn") and means "the highest point". Vertis is our greater expression of the belonging grape variety: obtained through grapes ??from ancient vineyards, which are about twenty years old and South-facing, it is a wine with two years of ageing and has features allowing to uniquely recognize the Verdicchio di Matelica.

The history of Borgo Paglianetto has its roots in ancient times. From historical sources it appears that the territory of Matelica was already inhabited at the time of the ancient Romans. The tradition of viticulture has been handed down through the centuries up to the present day. Borgo Paglianetto, with its 25 hectares, extends over the hills of Matelica in the area between Fabriano and Camerino. A territory that thanks to a particular microclimate gives wines with a good structure, but also freshness and aromatic balance. The estate has recently converted the cultivations to organic farming, continuing on the path of research of the highest quality while respecting nature. Read more
