In 1875, Pol Cochet developed his own vineyard and produced his first blends. This is the start of a long family tradition.
Indeed, after the First World War, Henri Petitjean, son-in-law of Pol Cochet succeeded him and continued to develop the business.
Pierre Petitjean, his son, passionate about oenology, took over the management of the Oenological Institute of Champagne, a company specializing in advising Champagne producers. It was Henri Petitjean's grandson, Michel, who took over the business in 1960.
Despite the economic fluctuations and climatic hazards that Champagne experienced in the 1970s and 1980s, he managed to pursue the same quality policy while by increasing the number of bottles marketed.
