Description
The cricket in fairy tale tradition is a faithful advisor chosen by fairies to ride through the woods. It announces happy events, and its song accompanies the sounds of the night. The Grillo is an ancient variety, historically widespread in the Trapani area as a base for Marsala wine. At Regaleali, it has been cultivated for years in the vineyard next to Case Vecchie. The company tries to play on the different harvest times: one as an early harvest to obtain freshness and minerality and the other as a late harvest to give structure and a base for ageing.

Over the years, the Estate's winemaking vocation has been consolidated thanks to the strategies implemented by the various protagonists who have alternated its management, from Count Giuseppe to Count Lucio to arrive at the current generation, Alberto and Giuseppe.
The winemaking first tried the use of traditional varieties, such as Nero d'Avola and Inzolia, to expand, later, in the testing of International varieties and their use, with great success. "Regaleali has a very strong and very clear DNA, all we can do is preserve this character and try not to compromise what nature has given to this place"
With these words Alberto testifies the attention he dedicates to sustainability and motivates the birth, in 2010, of SOStain, a Sicilian "green" viticulture: a planned and progressive improvement, which goes hand in hand with scientific research, aimed at reducing the impact of all business activities on the resources of the territory.
