Description

What kind of wine is it

Santa Barbara Stefano Antonucci Le Vaglie Bianco Dry Zero Alcohol is a non-alcoholic beverage made from still white wine that faithfully expresses the aromatic profile of Verdicchio. On the nose, it opens with broad and complex aromas, characterised by notes of spices and ripe fruit, enhanced by an evocative hint of quince. On the palate, it is rounded, distinguished by a soft and persistent sip that fades into a fruity and balanced finish, ideal for accompanying fish dishes and fresh cheeses.

Where does it come from

This beverage originates from an area of the Marche region historically dedicated to viticulture, from vineyards located at around 260 metres above sea level. The roots of the vines delve into a distinctive tuffaceous and sandy soil, a natural element that gives the Verdicchio a pronounced aromatic definition. The interaction between the particular soil composition and the local microclimate encourages the perfect ripening of the grapes, transferring the genuine identity of the Marche region into the glass through bold aromas and a profile of great fullness.

How is it produced

The production process by Santa Barbara begins with the harvest carried out between the end of September and the first days of October. After a rigorous fermentation in steel, aimed at preserving the fragrance of the aromas, the wine undergoes membrane dealcoholisation by direct osmosis. This process uses only water, removing the alcoholic part without the use of chemicals. The precision of this method ensures meticulous aromatic purity, keeping the density and enveloping nature of the original structure intact.

History and Curiosities

The Santa Barbara company presents Le Vaglie Zero, a non-alcoholic sensory experience. Produced from Verdicchio Bianco grapes at 260 metres on tuffaceous-sandy soils, the wine undergoes membrane dealcoholisation through direct osmosis. The process uses only water, removing the alcohol without chemicals to preserve the aromas. Led by oenologist Pierluigi Lorenzetti, this non-alcoholic white expresses a deep connection with the land.

The name Santa Barbara pays homage to our land, our tradition and those we worship. The history of this place dates back to the 6th century when Senigallia was a Byzantine city and a Lombardic (and therefore "barbarian") outpost was
set up in a nearby village. Since then, that village took the name of Barbara which is where our winery is located today, having the privilege of being housed in an old monastery.

Our winery is located 25 km from the Adriatic Sea and is located on the hills that run between the Misa and Nevola rivers. Here a team of professionals works in the winery and vineyards every day, fuelled by passion, determination and a pinch of creativity so that our grapes maintain their beauty and express the quality of our land.
