Description
The Monte Calvarina Vineyard is a small four-and-a-half-hectare vineyard that, at its highest point, reaches 600 metres above sea level with south-west exposure. The vineyard is located in the Soave area, on a hill of basaltic-eruptive origin with extensive limestone outcrops. From a climatic point of view, the area is favoured by its altitude, which guarantees cool, breezy summers with large temperature ranges. This guarantees an optimal accumulation of noble substances in the grapes, favouring the production of wines of great minerality and longevity.

Production technique | Each vintage was originally vinified separately. Following alcoholic fermentation, the different vintages remain 3-4 months on the lees. |
Wine making | The process continues with maturation in wood, in medium to lightly toasted barriques and tonneaux of first passage for about 8 months. Following this, the wine is placed in steel tanks for further maturation. Finally, the vintages are combined in the final blend and the wine is bottled. |
Aging | This wine is the most powerful expression of the characteristics of the vineyards of origin, located in different areas on the Veronese side of Monte Calvarina, in the easternmost part of the Soave appellation. A blend of vintages (2019 -2016-2021-2020-2018-2017-2013) that are selected for their expressiveness and elegance. Thanks to the blend of different vintages and a soil rich in nutrients, the ageing potential of this white wine is remarkable. |
