Description

What kind of wine is it

Christian Bergeret Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru Morgeot is a still white wine that represents a pure expression of the French terroir. With its golden straw-yellow hue, it is made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes. The bouquet offers intense fruity aromas, interwoven with lively citrus notes and pronounced mineral hints. On the palate, it is juicy and vibrant, delivering a dynamic sip and an aromatic profile of great elegance.

Where does it come from

This wine originates from Chassagne-Montrachet, in the renowned Burgundy region, within the Côte-d'Or. The Christian Bergeret estate, a family-run business, manages fourteen hectares of vineyards spread across six famous villages in the area. The vines used for this label have an average age of 25-30 years, ensuring a deep connection with the soil. The meticulous vineyard management aims to faithfully reflect the identity of the Premier Cru subzone.

How is it produced

The production process follows a classic vinification that respects the integrity of the raw material. Maturation lasts for a period between twelve and eighteen months in oak barrels, a choice intended to develop finesse and complexity without altering the wine's natural vibrancy. This approach ensures excellent ageing potential. Ideally served at a temperature of 12-14°C, it pairs perfectly with selected cheeses, lean fish, vegetarian dishes and white meats such as veal or poultry.
