Description
Still white wine from Etna DOC, 12.5% ABV, produced by Carranco. 0.75 L bottle, 2022 vintage. A wine born from the collaboration between Borgogno and Tornatore, a blend of history, experience, and authentic Etna roots. 100% Carricante, a native grape variety that best expresses the power of the volcano. The bouquet is complex, with fruity notes of green apple and grapefruit, as well as ripe white peach. These aromas are accompanied by notes of aromatic herbs. Straw yellow with greenish reflections. The palate is intense and enveloping, with acidity, savory flavors, and pronounced mineral notes that lend freshness and power.

Carranco was born from the meeting of Borgogno and Tornatore, a blend of history, experience, and authentic Ethnean roots.
The vineyards are located on the volcano's northern flank, and only traditional methods of vinification are used. It only grows native vines, primarily Nerello Mescalese, Nerello Cappuccio, and Carricante, which are the purest expressions of Etna, and it is from the volcanic soils that they draw the power, strength, and explosiveness of each eruption.
