Description
What kind of wine it is
Ca di Rajo Venezia Chardonnay is a still white wine that expresses the character of the Veneto region within the Venezia denomination. In the glass, it displays an intense straw yellow colour and offers a complex aromatic profile, with clear notes of Mediterranean scrub flowers, tropical fruit and citrus, complemented by hints of sweet almond and spices. On the palate, the Chardonnay reveals a dense and structured sip, supported by excellent acidic balance. Partial ageing in barrels gives the wine a long-lasting flavour, with a finish enhanced by elegant floral accents.
Where it comes from
This white wine is produced between the provinces of Treviso and Venice, in vineyards located at low altitude. The vines take root in sandy and clay soils, rich in organic matter. This specific pedoclimatic context allows for the development of a clear territorial identity, ensuring the ideal ripening of the Chardonnay grapes. The nature of the soil gives the wine remarkable flavour density, balanced by a natural freshness that supports the entire structure of the sip.
How it is produced
The harvest takes place at the beginning of September. Part of the wine rests in barrels, a maturation process that enriches the bouquet with delicate spices, while preserving the original freshness of the fruit. Served chilled, it reveals remarkable versatility at the table. Its balance makes it the ideal accompaniment for fried fish, vegetable risottos, white meats and tempting dishes from exotic cuisines.

The company uses the most innovative winemaking technologies, however, its modern facility and young team are located in a fascinating historical context, in an estate located within a medieval village. Symbols of the glorious past of the countryside that extends from Conegliano to Oderzo, the Chiesetta del Carmine, the neighboring Casa Convento and the Tower of Rai from the 14th century, stand next to a modern designed winery.
Ca' di Rajo has the great pleasure of communicating the awarding of diplomas by 5star wines to three of its best-loved wines, namely: 90 points to Valdobbiadene prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry, 90 points to Iconema Tai Piave DOC and 93 points to Torchiato di Fregona. Read more
