Description

Five iconic wines, expression of the Enrico Serafino estates, represent an ideal journey to discover Piedmont’s extraordinary agricultural and landscape diversity. The tasting, guided by our expert staff, opens with Mozia, a Grillo cultivated on the Phoenician island of Stagnone, and Didyme, a dry Malvasia from Salina. It continues with Contrada Rampante, a Nerello Mascalese that tells the story of Mount Etna’s mineral identity, followed by Rosso del Conte, the symbol of Regaleali and the first single-vineyard wine in Piedmont. To conclude, La Monaca, an elegant Syrah from the Monreale DOC. A journey through the centenary history of the Enrico Serafino family. The tasting is accompanied by local specialties and a taste of our extra virgin olive oil, made from local cultivars. The experience is framed by the ancient palmento (traditional millstone) and the countless terraces nestled on the northern slope of Mount Etna, the active volcano that nourishes these soils.

The Enrico Serafino winery was established in 1878 in Canale d'Alba, in the heart of one of Piedmont's most interesting wine-growing areas, the Roero.

Founded by Serafino Enrico, an entrepreneur and landowner, the winery soon became one of the most important in Piedmont and among the first to spread the region's classic wines throughout Italy and abroad. In addition to the classic Piedmontese wines of the area, first and foremost Roero, Arneis and Barbera, the company produces great Barolo and Barbaresco from grapes from the nearby Langhe, noble and elegant wines in which the Nebbiolo grape variety expresses its characteristics at its best. But Enrico Serafino's pride and joy is the selection signed 'Cantina Maestra', in which the red wines Pasiunà and Parduné stand out, the highest expression of excellence of the Roero territory, and the Metodo Classico Alta Langa DOC sparkling wines.
