Description
What kind of wine it is
Robert Denogent Pouilly Fuisse La Croix is a French organic white wine that best expresses the essence of Pouilly-Fuissé. It appears in the glass with a brilliant straw yellow hue, enhanced by bright golden reflections. On the nose, clear floral and fruity aromas emerge, heralding a harmonious, lively sip characterised by a distinct mineral persistence. Its natural elegance makes it particularly versatile at the table, able to accompany with balance dishes based on shellfish, lean fish, white meats, vegetarian recipes and cheese selections.
Where it comes from
The roots of this wine lie in Burgundy, more precisely in the village of Fuissé. In this area of historic winemaking prestige, the Denogent family has cultivated its old vines since the early twentieth century, with constant dedication to soil health. The sustainable agricultural approach allows Chardonnay to develop a marked territorial character, delivering in the glass a pure and defined expression of Pouilly-Fuissé, based on precision and deep respect for the land.
How it is produced
The cellar process begins with fermentation activated solely by indigenous yeasts, respecting the natural integrity of the fruit. This is followed by a prolonged ageing on the lees lasting nineteen months, a fundamental step to give breadth and a firm gustatory structure. To preserve the vibrancy and expressive identity of the wine, the final stage is carried out strictly without filtration or fining, ensuring an authentic, straightforward and substantial tasting experience.
History and Curiosities
In the heart of Burgundy, the Denogent family has been devoted to the art of winemaking since the early 20th century. The Pouilly-Fuissé La Croix 2022 offers a faithful interpretation of the local terroir, born from excellent organic Chardonnay grown on old vines. This artisanal dedication is reflected in fermentation with indigenous yeasts and meticulous ageing on the lees for 19 months. The decision to avoid filtration or fining preserves the authentic soul of this wine, offering the palate a lively, harmonious and long-lasting sip.

Jean-Jacques Robert, Andrée's son, takes over the reins in 1989. The estate changes its name and becomes Robert-Denogent in homage to his ancestors. Jean-Jacques continues in the same vein, always a gourmand and eager to share his wines with his friends. He gradually increases the surface area of vines.
Nicolas, the eldest son, returns to the estate in 2006. He does more than support his father by bringing his vision of wine. Antoine, Nicolas' brother, joined the estate in 2012. In 2015, Jean-Jacques passed the baton... while remaining close to his sons. Read more
