Description

What kind of wine it is

Animo Friulano, by Le Vigne di Zamò, is an organic white wine that faithfully interprets the Friuli-Venezia Giulia territory. Produced exclusively with Friulano grapes within the context of the renowned Friuli Colli Orientali, it presents a clear straw-yellow colour in the glass. The aromatic profile opens with citrus notes of lime and floral nuances of hawthorn, enriched by hints of white peach and delicate herbaceous touches of sage and thyme. Vinified in steel, it offers a dry sip on the palate, distinguished by a fresh and savoury finish that makes it clean and extremely elegant.

Where it comes from

The grapes destined for this white wine grow in the hilly area of Rosazzo, located in the municipality of Manzano. This geographical vocation places the wine within the Colli Orientali del Friuli zone.

How it is produced

The harvest takes place between the end of August and the first days of September. In the cellar, whole-bunch pressing under nitrogen is carried out, a fundamental technique to protect the must from oxidation from the very first extraction stages. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, thus preserving the integrity of the primary aromas. The wine rests in stainless steel on the lees for six months without any intermediate racking. At the end of maturation, the blend is created.

Le Vigne di Zamò is located in Manzano, in the town of Rosazzo, in the province of Udine, in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, a land of borders and European invasions that have led to a mixture of vineyards and varieties.

The company is fortunate to draw from three different terroirs that give the wines different and unique characters and personalities. The Zamò family has been cultivating the land for centuries: first the grandfather, then the father and finally the sons, all united under the same goal: cultivating the land and making wine as a sign of civilisation and respect for their origins and traditions,

In addition to great white wines, including Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, the company focuses on red wines to maintain the indigenous grape varieties and to pursue new projects and innovations. For years, the Zamò family has been conducting cultivation with sustainability-conscious methods, and in 2021 they obtained the first Certified Organic grape harvest.
