From this winery
La Pierre Ronde is a Burgundy project founded by Antoine Lepetit de la Bigne, a wine enthusiast who chose an unconventional path. After graduating from Polytechnique and a brief, unfulfilling experience as a corporate consultant, he decided to follow his true passion. He studied agricultural engineering, earned his oenology degree, and worked in Alsace with Zind Humbrecht. A pivotal moment came in Puligny-Montrachet, where he met Anne-Claude Leflaive, a pioneer of biodynamic viticulture in Burgundy.

Following Anne-Claude Leflaive’s passing, Antoine helped many Burgundy growers convert to biodynamics, becoming a recognised expert in the field. Drawing on this experience, in 2021 he founded his own estate: Domaine de la Pierre Ronde, a project rooted in craftsmanship, terroir expression and a contemporary vision of winemaking.
