Description

What kind of wine is it

Domaine Fourrey Bourgogne Pinot Noir is an organic still red wine that faithfully reflects the characteristics of Burgundy. Made from Pinot Noir grapes, it appears in the glass with a bright ruby red hue, enhanced by lively violet highlights. The bouquet opens with clear and fragrant aromas of fresh red fruits. On the palate, it is particularly harmonious and smooth, supported by soft, well-integrated tannins that give the sip a pleasant immediacy and elegance.

Where does it come from

This wine expression originates in France, in the heart of Burgundy, within an area near Chablis. The vineyards take root in the soils of the communes of Milly and Fleys, spread along the banks of the Serein river. Production is entrusted to Domaine Fourrey, a well-established family business active for four generations, managing a twenty-five-hectare estate. Under the guidance of oenologist Jean-Luc Fourrey since 1992, the winery operates with great rigour to enhance the native terroir and protect the surrounding landscape.

How is it produced

The processing of the grapes in the winery aims to preserve the freshness of the fruit and develop a velvety taste structure. The company practises organic and sustainable viticulture, a commitment certified since 2017 by the Haute Valeur Environnementale certification. To fully enhance the softness and balance of this red, it is recommended to decant for one hour before serving at a temperature between 14 and 16°C. At the table, it proves an excellent match for pork or lamb dishes, as well as pairing effortlessly with terrines, fresh salads, and flavourful meat starters.

Domaine Forrey is a family‑run estate located in the heart of the Chablis vineyard area, in Milly, a hamlet of Chablis just two kilometres away. The estate covers 25 hectares of vines and carries a legacy spanning four generations, passed down from father to son.

Since 1992, I, Jean‑Luc Fourrey, have been managing the Domaine. I studied at the Lycée Viticole in Beaune and hold a Higher Technician Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology. Today, I share this journey with my family — I am married and the father of Emile, born in 2012.

The daily work at the estate is carried out with the support of a team of seven collaborators: a sales assistant, two tractor drivers, one cellar‑and‑vineyard worker, and three vineyard workers. A group made up of three women and four men, where I encourage versatility and the continuous development of individual skills.

Our vineyards are mainly located in Milly — on my father’s side — and in Fleys — on my mother’s side — spread across both banks of the Serein River, at the very heart of the Chablis region.
