The young winemaker, son of Armando Mergè represents the third generation of family that has a strain in Mario Mergè the founder, who in the '20s began its work by engaging primarily in wine and olive growing and marketing of its products.
The large second generation passed his life experiences and acquire new work force and complete, finally, nell'audace initiative of his nephew happy, well supported by the impulse of the concrete and active father Armando.
Thus was born "Poggio Le Volpi" with a high level of image quality and sophistication of its wines, which are the precious gems that ennoble "the pedigree" of the company and who have achieved the refined and flattering exclusive area of niche wines.
The best varieties that after long and careful selection become part of the brand Poggio Le Volpi collection in an area stretching between the slopes of Monte Porzio Catone and the Roman countryside.
A rich and cozy, where the animals - especially foxes - an ecosystem are still largely non-contaminated, and we like to think that, just as in the fables of Aesop, in this land to grow grapes as well, what the Fox tries vainly to grasp.
Land well exposed where the screw from time immemorial can take advantage of the excellent natural microclimate.
