Domaine de L'Arlot

2 km south of Nuits Saint Georges, Domaine de l'Arlot tells the story and the durability of an old Burgundy property on the Côte de Nuits.

Ancient archives evoke the presence of Jean-Charles Vienot, heir to a long Burgundian lineage as owner of a house and vineyards at the end of the 18th century in the village of Prémeaux. An enterprising man, he built walls around the estate and thus created the Clos de l'Arlot.

In 1891, the property was sold to a wine merchant, Jules Belin, who expanded the estate with the purchase of Clos des Forêts Saint-Georges and Clos du Chapeau, a group that would form the Domaine de l'Arlot. His heirs transferred the buildings and vineyards to AXA Millésimes almost a century later, at the beginning of 1987. Since then, AXA Millésimes has acquired two vines: Vosne Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru and Romanée Saint Vivant, Grand Cru.
