Description
Type of wine
Pietragrande by Tenute Lunelli is a medium-bodied still white wine that faithfully reflects the character of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti territory. The result of a refined blend that enhances Chardonnay along with Incrocio Manzoni, Pinot Blanc and Sauvignon Blanc, it presents a brilliant straw-yellow colour. The olfactory profile offers clear scents of white flowers, apple and pear, intertwined with fresh notes of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it expresses a vibrant mineral freshness and an enveloping mouthfeel, guided by pleasant citrus hints that lead towards a savoury and delicately persistent finish.
Origin
This wine originates from the Tenuta Margon estate in Ravina, nestled on the mountain slopes of Trentino. The rows are cultivated following the principles of sustainable mountain viticulture, using the simple Trentino pergola and Guyot training systems. The vine roots delve into stony and sandy soils, a geological composition essential for giving the wine a distinct taste clarity. The influence of the Alpine climate ensures optimal ripening of the bunches, preserving their aromatic integrity and natural structure.
Production process
The winemaking begins with a soft pressing of the grapes to extract only the free-run juice. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, using selected yeasts to enhance the varietal characteristics of the blend. Subsequently, the wine undergoes six months of ageing, a fundamental step for harmonising the different aromatic components and stabilising the structure. This meticulous production process results in a dry white with a balanced palate, capable of combining fruity fragrances with a vibrant gustatory energy.
History and interesting facts

Villa Margon, which takes its name from the splendid sixteenth century complex where the Lunelli Group entertains its guests, and Pietragrande, the most recently launched of the Trentino wines, are expressions of Chardonnay and of the family’s long experience with this variety. Maso Montalto, which comes from one of the family’s historic vineyards, overlooked by a wall of rock over a thousand metres high, is a perfect example of the elegance of Pinot Nero grown at high altitude.
