Description
What kind of wine it is
Francois Mikulski Bourgogne Blanc Cote d’Or Chardonnay is a still white wine from Burgundy that precisely expresses Chardonnay. Within the Bourgogne Côte d’Or area, this wine stands out for its rich and persistent flavour profile, reminiscent of the structure of a Meursault. With an ageing potential ranging from five to ten years, it pairs beautifully with vegetarian dishes, lean fish, white meats and cheeses.
Where it comes from
The grapes come from the Côte d’Or, where Chardonnay is grown on the borders with Meursault. Francois Mikulski selects the bunches from two plots located in the lower part of the slope. In this area, the soil features a subsoil of alluvial river sediments, which gives the wine its classic Burgundian character. This natural environment helps to define a rich flavour texture and a consistent persistence.
How it is produced
Production begins with a meticulous manual harvest to preserve the integrity of the fruit. Once fermentation is complete, the wine matures in oak barrels for around ten months, acquiring structure and depth. Before bottling, it is racked and left to rest for a further two months in tanks, thus ensuring a pleasant roundness and an extremely clean sensory profile.
History and Curiosities
Since 1992, François Mikulski has been producing authentic and elegant wines, carefully preserving the biological balance of the soil. This rare Chardonnay comes from two plots located on alluvial sediments on the border with Meursault, offering a rich, pure and extraordinarily persistent sip. After a meticulous manual harvest, the wine matures in oak barrels for ten months and rests in tanks before bottling. A label of great charm, capable of evolving beautifully for up to ten years.

Much like humans, vines are living organisms that need to be fed and treated with consideration. Home-produced composts, phytosanitary environmentally-friendly products, plowing, and a carefully preserved biological balance of the soil help us achieve our main cultivation goals. Read more
