Description
What kind of wine is it
La Lune is a refined still white wine from the Ferme de la Sansonnière winery, an authentic expression of the French terroir. This Vin de France is made entirely from Chenin Blanc, which gives the glass a bright straw yellow colour. Intense fruity aromas emerge on the nose, while the palate reveals a fresh and savoury profile, with great balance. Thanks to its natural integrity, it has an ageing potential ranging from five to ten years. Served at a temperature between 10 and 12°C, it enhances its qualities when paired with fish dishes and cheeses.
Where does it come from
This wine originates from the renowned Loire region, on an estate managed with deep respect for environmental balance. Ferme de la Sansonnière follows a circular agricultural model, integrating vineyards with livestock, grain cultivation and an orchard. The commitment to sustainability is reflected in the use of renewable energy, such as a solar plant and biomass heating, and in the use of vehicles powered by sunflower oil produced on the estate. Since 2013, the rows have no longer been ploughed and every manual task is dedicated to caring for the vine.
How is it produced
The production process is based on rigorous management of the raw material, harvested only at perfect ripeness. Vinification follows a natural philosophy, with no addition of sulphur dioxide. To preserve the aromatic character of La Lune, no fining is carried out. The choice to bottle without filtration allows for a sincere and straightforward wine, capable of precisely expressing its soil of origin and offering a pure and authentic sip.

In this virtuous ecosystem, La Lune is born, a captivating Chenin Blanc produced from perfectly ripe grapes and vinified without added sulphites. This white wine offers a pure sip, with no fining or filtration.

Eight hectares farmed with vineyards, alongside a cattle breed "pois noir" from which quality manure is obtained, two hectares of wheat and an orchard of 3000 sq. M.
As if it were not enough, Mark uses electricity from solar panels, heats up with a boiler powered by crushed wood from his forests, travels on a compressed air car, and uses a rectified tractor running with sunflower oil he has cultivated . It almost seems like a dreamer, but is actually considered one of the top four winemakers in the region. It is not difficult to guess how it does its own vineyards: since 2013, the rows are not plowed, but only tanned, bruised and crushed, while the grass is cut only when strictly necessary.
The screws grow freely, without any support, so that they can enjoy maximum lighting on both sides. Even in cellar practices, the same philosophy is followed: only the perfectly ripe and grape grapes are vinified without the addition of sulfur dioxide; Most of the operations are performed manually and no wine is clarified or filtered.
