Welcome to Champagne G.Gruet & Fils, founded in 1967 in Bethon.
We are a cooperative governed by a Board of Directors, with Mr Jean-Yves ORCIN as Chairman. We have 6 employees, including Magali, Mylène and Lisa in reception and administration, Romain and Christopher in the cellar, Delphine in charge of making the wines and Nathalie our cleaner.
Our village is located in the south-west of the Marne region, 15 km from the town of Sézanne. The soil is essentially chalky, which allows us to grow the various Champagne grape varieties, including one in particular: Chardonnay, which accounts for around 80% of the vineyards in this area.
All our wines are made with the greatest respect for the Champagne tradition (in collaboration with our oenologist Delphine), right up to the final stage when the bottle is labelled. The agricultural cooperative Union Vinicole des Coteaux de Bethon (UVCB) was founded in 1967 by Mr Gilbert GRUET.
