Quintodecimo Greco di Tufo Giallo d'Arles Magnum 2023
Giallo d'Arles is an extreme and rigorous interpretation of Greco di Tufo. It is produced exclusively with grapes from a single Greco vineyard. Its antique yellow-gold colour, typical of the appellation, is rendered even more intense by the brief period of fermentation in small oak barrels and the complete absence of clarification. It is a white wine with a red, powerful, refined structure, characterised by a deep minerality fused with notes of apricot and quince jam and a full and fresh taste. It also has an extraordinary aptitude for bottle ageing, gaining in elegance, complexity and harmony as the years pass. The name given to the wine is a tribute to Van Gogh's favourite colour during his time in Arles: a yellow prelude to red.

Colour

Crystalline gold.

Bouquet

Fascinating for its richness with notes of gardenia, white melon, apricot and annurca apple with mineral hints, dried fruit and white pepper.

Flavour

Structured and powerful, it does not lose coordination until the long persistence of the smoky touches.

Pairing

Scampi on chickpea puree.

Wine has conditioned my entire life. It is an association that began at birth in the winery of my father, Michele Moio. This historic Campania producer in the 1950s relaunched Falerno, the famous wine dear to the ancient Romans. Home and wine cellars...
