As with all Querciabella wines, elegance and finesse trump muscle in Turpino. The name Turpino – like Palafreno and Mongrana which precede this wine in the Querciabella range – pays homage to Orlando Furioso, a 16th century Italian epic poem by Ludovico Ariosto.
