Colour

Very intense ruby red with garnet reflections.

Bouquet

Intense fruity nose, stands out the ripe red berry fruits of raspberry, black cherry, blackberry and blueberry with a hint of purple and pepper scent.

Flavour

Gorgeous, supported by remarkable texture and tannins that are strong but tasty. Sapid, lively, spicy, with a very pleasant heat and after taste. Nice and balance acidity, very persistent.

Pairing

Sumptuous with important meats, gorgeous with game but fascinating with seasoned and tasty cheeses. Wonderful even if tasted alone, after meal.

I always use Xtrawine and the service is always good There appears to have been a change this time around with the wine sent direct from Italy. Previously orders on the .co.uk site came from London so arrived much quicker. This means delivery takes a bit longer although the packaging was much better than before. Overall, a great selection of Italian wines from an excellent seller.
