Colour

Bright red colour.

Bouquet

It’s a light and supple wine dominated by small red fruits as raspberry and Morello cherry.

Flavour

Moderately tannic but rich and characterful, it evolves towards strawberry jam, with animal and leather notes after few years. The generous and ample mouth appears to be both delicate and long. Smart wine with well-balanced tannins.

Pairing

Delicate and light food as roast poultry, grilled meat or game birds. Soft cheeses are also a good partner.

I always use Xtrawine and the service is always good There appears to have been a change this time around with the wine sent direct from Italy. Previously orders on the .co.uk site came from London so arrived much quicker. This means delivery takes a bit longer although the packaging was much better than before. Overall, a great selection of Italian wines from an excellent seller.
